Jim Acosta New CNN National Political Correspondent

Today CNN announced Jim Acosta's promotion to National Political Correspondent. Acosta will cover the 2012 Presidential Election extensively as well as features on policy and culture alongside CNN staples like Wolf Blitzer and John King. Previously, Acosta was a CNN correspondent reporting on the Clinton and McCain campaigns from 2008. Investigating Obama's policy changes on traveling to Cuba, Acosta traveled to Havana to explore. He also worked for CBS news covering the news from the Iraq War from Baghdad and the 2004 campaign of Sen. John Kerry.
