ISTE announces 2010 board election results

The International Society for Technology in Education announced the results of its 2010 board elections. Those newly elected to the board include: Mike Lawrence in the affiliate representative position — Lawrence is executive director of California Computer-Using Educators Inc; Julie Evans, CEO of Project Tomorrow, in the at-large representative position; preschool through 12th grade is Gwyneth Jones, a teacher librarian and technology specialist; a special-interest group representative, Howie DiBlasi, CEO of Digital Journey in Texas; and a teacher-education rep, Arlene Borthwick, professor at the National College of Education at National-Louis University in Chicago.

Reelected to the board include Holly Jobe, Eileen Lento and Kara Gann. The ISTE is the premier membership association for educators and education leaders engaged in advancing excellence in learning and teaching through innovative and effective uses of technology.

The ISTE board is led by Helen L. Padgett (in photo) from Arizona State University SkySong. She will continue as board president for 2010-2011.
