Congressman signs on as advisor for Dr. King play

Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) is bound for Broadway - or at least the show he's working with appears to be headed there. 

The congressman’s office confirms that Lewis has signed on as an advisor for development of the play, “Moments with Dr. King,” a show about the life of the late civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Lewis, 71, is a civil rights activist who was a keynote speaker at 1963’s March on Washington.  

The show will perform preliminary stage readings before heading to the Great White Way and is set to begin casting next year, according to BroadwayWorld.com
