Cantor's music picks: Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Wiz Khalifa

altRep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and President Obama have butted heads on many legislative policies during the last year, but there’s one thing they can both agree on: they heart rap music.

The House Majority Leader revealed on CBS’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday his (perhaps unexpected) love for a variety of rappers, including Lil' Wayne, Jay-Z, and Wiz Khalifa.

Call us crazy, but kind of tough to picture Cantor jamming to Jay-Z's "Justify my Thug."

Obama, in a 2010 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, disclosed he has the hot hip hop artist, Lil' Wayne — whose single “How to Love” has topped the charts — on his iPod. In addition to Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, and the Rolling Stones, the president also said his former special assistant, Reggie Love, introduced him to the rapper Nas.

Cantor is the latest lawmaker to offer a surprising revelation about his musical taste.

Early last year, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich admitted that the ring tone on his cell phone was ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” The former House Speaker told the New York Daily News at the time that he’s a fan of the musical “Mamma Mia,” which includes the classic 70’s song: "When they do 'Dancing Queen' in the movie, I just think it's a great sequence. I love that sequence -- the energy, the excitement."

And GOP White House hopeful Jon Huntsman, who in high school played in an REO Speedwagon cover band, expressed his love of one member of the 80’s rock group, telling the San Francisco Chronicle, “Any keyboard player who's worth their salt would be able to recognize another great keyboard playe. REO has a great keyboard player." Huntsman also said he’s a fan of the Foo Fighters.
