Lawmakers strike a pose against same-sex marriage ban

Ten Democratic members of Congress are seen striking a pose in support of the “NOH8 on the Hill” campaign in photos released Wednesday.

The lawmakers are the latest in a long list of celebs, public figures, and ordinary folks who have been photographed for the NOH8 initiative, which protests against California’s Proposition 8 banning same-sex marriage. Kim Kardashian, Elizabeth Kucinich, Lindsay Lohan, Meghan and Cindy McCain, and Miley Cyrus have all been snapped wearing the signature “NOH8” face paint and masking tape.

The founders of the campaign, Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley, say they offered all Senate and House members the chance to pose at a Washington photo shoot last week.

The Democrats who participated include: Rep. Earl Blumenauer (Or.), Rep. Niki Tsongas (Mass.), Rep. Judy Chu (Calif.), Rep. William Keating (Mass.), Rep. Barbara Lee (Calif.), Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D.C.), Rep. Lynn Woolsey (Calif.), Rep. Jared Polis (Colo.), Rep. Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), and Rep. Jackie Speier (Calif.).
