Bob Dylan, John Cougar Mellencamp, and Jennifer Hudson are just some of the stars who will rock the East Room of the White House next month when President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle host the first installment of this year's “In Performance at the White House" music series.

The Feb. 10 event is titled "A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement” in honor of Black History month.

Also in the lineup are Grammy winners Natalie Cole, John Legend, Smokey Robinson, Seal, Queen Latifah, and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Latifah will emcee the evening, aided by Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman. As for the music, a statement from the White House said the set list will feature songs from the Civil Rights Movement.  The concert will be streamed live on www.whitehouse.gov starting at 5:15 p.m.

The event follows in the footsteps of four prior musical evenings held at the Obama White House in 2009, each of which showcased a different genre: jazz, country, Latin music, and classical.
