Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle found himself stuck Friday night on the side of the road in the middle of “snowmageddon.”

Daschle had some unlikely helpers---reporters from D.C.’s Fox affiliate FOX-5 news. The reporters from the news station got out and helped Daschle, who was stuck on Wisconsin Ave. in front of the Booeymongers and Froyo restaurants in Friendship Heights.

The Christian Science Monitor reported that Fox used the incident to show people that they really shouldn’t have gone out that night during the worst of what many have dubbed the storm of the century.

Check out the video below for a clip from the great Daschle rescue.
