Vice President Joe Biden will host an historic gathering of world leaders on Monday for lunch at his house.

The meeting will be the largest assembly of foreign leaders ever to be held at the Naval Observatory, the vice presidential mansion on Massachusetts Avenue, N.W. According to the White House, the purpose of the lunch will be to discuss the administration’s goal of a world without nuclear weapons and to address the goals of the non-aligned movement, a group of nations comprising Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.

As former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden has met with a number of his lunch guests before, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, shown here with Biden.

The event also means that traffic will be shut down and parking restricted from about 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. around the Naval Observatory and Cathedral Heights neighborhoods. Check the Washington Post's live traffic monitor here for the latest details on road closures.
