Dems deliver donuts to reporters

As the first Medicare supplemental "donut hole" reimbursement checks arrive in mailboxes this week, Democrats are celebrating. And on Capitol Hill, that means taking a shot at the GOP. Only this time, they're using actual donut holes.

Special boxes of "Republikn' Donut Holes" were delivered to congressional reporters on Thursday morning. Inside were chocolate, jelly-filled, and plain donut holes.

The donuts were delivered by Democratic leadership staff, and accompanied a few hours later by a press release, in case reporters missed the real thing.

Judging from the empty box in the periodical gallery, the treats were a big hit.
