One of the most fashionable faces of the past two decades will be on Capitol Hill this week: Supermodel Christy Turlington.

Turlington, a mother of two with her husband, actor Ed Burns (shown here), will be in Washington to lobby for maternal health funding, and she'll take part in a panel discussion Wednesday afternoon on best-practices in Peru. Also on the panel will be Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas), who recently returned from a fact-finding trip to the Andean nation.

Longtime Washingtonians will recognize another of the panel's participants, Anita McBride, the former chief-of-staff to First Lady Laura Bush and a longtime Washington player.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in CVC 215 (House side).
