Diane von Furstenberg designs a tote bag for Pelosi

Legendary fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is a big fan of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and she's designed a limited-edition tote bag to prove it.

Von Furstenberg sent an email to Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) supporters on Friday to offer them a chance to be one of the first to purchase the cream-colored totes.

The bags say "Team Pelosi" on them, with a heart instead of the "o" in Pelosi. Awww...

Von Furstenberg writes that Pelosi "recently asked me if I would design a limited edition tote bag, and ... I was more than happy to oblige." Every dollar of the purchase price of the bag will benefit the DCCC.

Judging from a recent Thursday night at the tony W Hotel in Washington, D.C., the bags are already in circulation at Democratic fundraisers. ITK spotted three women traipsing through the lobby of the hotel sporting the totes.

The New York-based Von Furstenberg is a longtime Democratic donor. In the past two years she has personally maxed out her contributions to the DCCC at $30,400, as well as supporting the campaigns of Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.).
