Beau Biden describes stroke

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden is back in full campaign mode after suffering a stroke in May, and in an interview published Thursday, he reflected on the day he had a stroke.

"I remember it all," he says, adding that he believes he may have been a "little dehydrated and overcaffeinated" from the night before, when he ran four miles before putting his two young children to bed and staying up late to work on a broken chainsaw.

The next morning, something was wrong.

"I was just a little off," Biden explained. "My arm didn't feel right. I was able to move it, but I just wasn't myself."

Biden — the oldest son of Vice President Joe Biden — was rumored to have wanted to run for the Senate seat once held by his father. But in the interview, the most extensive he has given since his hospitalization, Biden gave few clues about what he wants to do next.

This cycle, Biden is running for reelection as state attorney general, and does not face a Republican opponent.

"I'm focusing on being a great attorney general," said Biden. "Having long-term dreams is a good thing ... but having a plan has never worked for me, because life always intervenes."
