Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) will visit a BJ's Wholesale Club in Fairfax Va. on Dec. 5 from 11 a.m.- to 2 p.m. as part of her nationwide book tour.

The stop was announced Wednesday night via Palin's Facebook page, and marks the only scheduled D.C.-area event on her nationwide blitz.

Palin's memoir, "Going Rogue," was released on Tuesday, and large crowds have turned up at her first signing events.

This is the only book signing scheduled to take place at a BJ's; other events are planned at Barnes and Noble, Borders, and the bulk discount wholesale club Costco.

Capitol Hill staffers hoping to attend the event will need to arrange for transportation: BJ's is more than 25 miles from Capitol Hill, and mapquest.com estimate the drive to take 45 minutes, more if there's traffic.
