The Fashion Group International of Greater Washington, D.C. and Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce hosted "Very Fashionable Holiday" at Saki in Adams Morgan. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres such as chicken dumplings and shrimp in coconut sauce in the restaurant's downstairs lounge. Those who attended were asked to bring a donation of costume jewelry or other accessories for Suited for Change, which provides interview clothing for women in employment programs.

The GWFCC's mission is to make D.C. a preeminent fashion capital by creating a thriving fashion industry.
