Actress Mariel Hemingway wants Washingtonians to relax

The Academy Award nominated “Manhattan” star, 50, touted the benefits of healthy living while promoting “Wellness Week” at the Cannon House Office Building on Thursday, Feb. 9.
 
The initiative, sponsored by SpaFinder.com, runs from March 19-25 and offers discounts and free programs at hundreds of spas across the country in order to encourage Americans to take up healthier lifestyles.
 
Hemingway was joined by Reps. Tom Petri (R-Wis.) and Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.) at the kickoff event.
