The Gourmet Gala chefs

The 14th Annual St. Jude Gourmet Gala took place Tuesday evening at the National Building Museum.

The Mardi Gras themed event supported children suffering from catastrophic and life-threatening diseases. The Gourmet Gala is organized by a committee that has helped raise almost $3 million for St. Jude throughout the last 13 years and has helped support various programs like gene therapy and AIDS vaccine research.

Area chefs cooked their specialty dishes while CBS Chief White House Correspondent Norah O'Donnell emceed.
