Brookings Institution hosts House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.)

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) spoke on restoring fiscal responsibility in Washington at the Brookings Institution on Monday afternoon.

“Never in my decades in Congress have I seen a public so outraged by deficits and debt, but this moment of historic awareness is also a moment of historic opportunity,” Hoyer said in his speech.

After his 30-minute speech, Hoyer took questions from the audience.
