2nd Annual Stone Soup Films Celebration

E-mail

On Tuesday night at Comet Ping Pong, where the balls normally fly fast and furious, the hometown crowd of friends was thrilled to come together for a different purpose, to celebrate and support STONE SOUP FILMS and to toast founder Liz Norton

In 2008, armed with the creative vision and technical know- how gained from her days as a TV producer, Liz founded the non-profit cooperative to make and fund “promotional films free of charge for worthy organizations in Washington DC.”

To date, Stone Soup has produced pieces for Bread for the City, Sinai House, and Life Pieces to Masterpieces , to list a few, and has enabled each cause to reach a broader audience to aid and support the valuable work they do.

The evening of pizza, music and great pride in the combined power of creativity and purpose was shared by Lisa and Josh BernsteinAlison ShulmanIvy HowellsJulia Tolkan, Kathleen and Hunter Biden, Lisa Gunty, and Karen Marcou along with family, filmmakers and representatives from the beneficiary organizations. Liz truly has taken stones and made soup. No easy task and an example to follow.
