A reception and book signing was held for Robin Givhan's new book "Michelle: The First Lady the First Year" at the Lord and Taylor in Friendship Heights.

Guests dined on wine and cheese at a reception and Givhan also gave a presentation. Guests were also treated to free makeovers at two make-up counters. The event was sponsored by The Fashion Group International of Greater Washington, D.C.

Givhan is the fashion writer for The Washington Post and won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for criticism, a first time for fashion writers.
