Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Reps. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex.), John Conyers (D-Mich.), CBS' Bob Schieffer, Paul Williams, Marc Roberge and others sing "I've Got Friends in Low Places" in honor of Garth Brooks

Multiple members of Congress and Grammy winner Garth Brooks were at the Liaison Hotel Wednesday evening for the Recording Industry Association of America-sponsored GRAMMYS on the Hill reception and awards. The ceremony honored Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calf.) for their work in music advocacy.

The GRAMMYS on the Hill is traditionally what many refer to as "Washington's most interesting mix of music and politics." The reception is part of a two-day music advocacy event that connects music makers with members of Congress.

Neuqua Valley High School, a GRAMMY Foundation Signature School from Illinois, was also honored at the event.
