Susan G. Komen for the Cure Luncheon

Ambassador Nancy Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, launched the 30th anniversary of the Honoring the Promise Gala at an intimate lunch at Café Milano in Georgetown Monday afternoon.

The lunch drew out members of the media and those working with the cause. Brinker said this is the 30th year she made the promise to her sister to work to end breast cancer forever.

The Honoring the Promise gala will take place Saturday Oct. 16 at the Kennedy Center.
