22nd Perennial Garden Party

The 22nd Perennial Garden Party took place Wednesday, May 12th. The garden party is a rite of Spring in Washington.

There were fabulous prizes for the best Spring hats in categories from traditional to creative. Vicki Crawford of Sugarloaf Mountain, Va. was voted "best flower hat", Naomi Howard of Washington, D.C., was voted "best ensemble" and Elinor Berg, also of the District, was voted "instant classic" for her attire. Also, there was a the spectacular silent auction, live music, cocktails and ultimate hors d’oeuvres in Wilson House Garden.

The charming co-chairs were: Mrs. R. Kendall Nottingham (Betsy) and Mr. and Mrs. David E. Frulla (Lisa); and for the Junior Committee Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey S. Powell (Elizabeth) and Mr. and Mrs. Joshua S. Borne (Blair).
