Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) actress Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me, Hot in Cleveland) and Humane Society of the United States president and CEO Wayne Pacelle rallied near the west steps of the Capitol as part of the Taking Action for Animals Conference that ended Monday.

“We need to respect and revere animals, especially the wild horses that are dying as we speak,” said Malick, who was wearing a brown and white sundress.

Moran, who co-chairs the animal protection caucus with Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Fla.) praised members of the Humane Society of the United States for their efforts.
