On June 22, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Goodwill Industries CEO Jim Gibbons and others were among the 15 recipients of the 2010 Jefferson Awards.
The Jefferson Awards recognizes those whose lives, careers and volunteer activities show the best examples of public service. They are also referred to as “The Nobel Prize for Public Service.”
While Bloomberg was awarded, he did not attend the ceremony.
